Data and Artificial Intelligence

KAIRO (海路, Japanese for «sea route») is Grupo Logístico Logwell’s artificial intelligence assistant. It is designed to guide visitors and clients on cross-border trade services, customs processes, general questions and operation tracking.

KAIRO runs on a large language model (LLM) complemented by Logwell-specific business logic. It combines high-speed answers for frequent questions with AI-assisted reasoning for more complex inquiries.

KAIRO is an informational assistant. It is not a licensed customs broker and its answers do not constitute binding legal, tax or customs advice.

During a conversation, KAIRO may receive and process the following information:

Do not share third parties’ confidential information, other clients’ operational data, passwords or other sensitive information in the chat. KAIRO is not equipped to process that kind of data securely.

The data KAIRO receives is used exclusively for purposes directly tied to the conversation:

• Generating relevant, context-aware answers to your questions
• Maintaining the thread of the conversation during the active session
• Registering your tracking number to check the status of the operation in real time
• Routing complex requests to a human Logwell executive

We also use the data for the internal purposes described in the next section. No use involves selling data, transferring it commercially or advertising profiling.

Conversations with KAIRO and their associated data are used internally by Grupo Logístico Logwell, S.A. de C.V. to improve the service. This use is strictly internal; the data does not leave Logwell or the providers strictly necessary to operate the platform.

All of these uses are Logwell’s sole responsibility. They do not rely on external advertising models, they are not monetized with third parties and they do not compromise the operational confidentiality of your company or its business counterparties.

So that the limits of processing are unambiguous, we expressly state that Logwell does not:

• Sell, rent, transfer or exchange personal data or conversation transcripts with third parties under any commercial arrangement
• Share your conversations with Anthropic, OpenAI or any other AI provider for training public or private models outside Logwell
• Use your data for behavioral advertising, retargeting, social media pixels (Meta Pixel, Google Ads, TikTok) or credit scoring systems
• Build psychographic, biometric or commercial segmentation profiles that could be sold to third parties
• Hand your conversations to competitors, data brokers, external marketing agencies or providers not strictly necessary to operate
• Keep your data beyond the periods described in the next section, except under a specific legal obligation

If Logwell ever intends to broaden the purposes of processing (for example, integrating new analytics tools), this document will be updated with the legally required notice and new consent will be requested where applicable.

Conversations with KAIRO are stored temporarily on secure servers located in Mexico or with certified providers operating in Mexico and the U.S. under data processing agreements.

In line with the human oversight principle established in responsible AI best practices, KAIRO has no authority to make decisions that definitively affect users’ rights or interests:

• It cannot accept or reject service requests on Logwell’s behalf
• It does not generate formal quotes or binding business agreements
• It has no access to internal management systems and cannot modify operational data
• Every operational or business decision is confirmed by a human Logwell specialist

If KAIRO detects that an inquiry requires human intervention, it automatically escalates it to an executive, who will contact you promptly.

With respect to the automated processing of your data by KAIRO, you have the right to:

• Know what information KAIRO processed during your conversations
• Request the deletion of your transcript before the 90-day period ends
• Object to the aggregate analysis of your conversations for service improvement
• Demand human review of any KAIRO response or decision that affects you

KAIRO uses state-of-the-art language models provided by Anthropic (the Claude family). These models are accessed through the Anthropic API under data processing agreements that guarantee:

• Conversation data is not used to train Anthropic’s AI models
• Processing complies with applicable privacy standards
• Anthropic operates under a minimal data retention policy for API usage

In addition, KAIRO incorporates Logwell’s own business logic and filters, which keep responses relevant to the cross-border trade context and free of inappropriate content.

This policy may be updated when we add new AI capabilities, change model providers or when Mexican legislation on artificial intelligence evolves. Substantial changes will be announced at least 10 days in advance.
